Financial Advice: Is it really necessary?

Over the years, there’s been so many reasons why people should avoid financial advisers.

Why?

Because by avoiding having a financial adviser, people don’t have to confront financial decisions they’ve made, face the truth, feel embarrassed about not following through, prove themselves right in thinking only the rich have need one and avoid the fear of being sucked into scams that lose all their money.

Learning from the mistakes of others, here are some of the ways you too can avoid the need for a financial adviser:

1.       Always rely on your partners, family and friends’ advice on what to do with your money as they know best;

2.       If you already have an adviser, never answer their phone calls, reply to their emails and read their advice documents (it is all just too hard isn’t) or turn up to meetings they request;

3.       Expect your adviser to read your mind and never ask them any questions or tell them what’s changed in your life, why bother?

4.       Do it yourself, because you know it best and you can learn every aspect of financial planning from reading mass media books, newspapers and googling;

5.       You’re ok with wasting your hard earned money, than have to pay for an adviser!

If this sounds like you…..  step up and sack your financial adviser (or never get one in the first place), unless…. they realise their sole purpose is help make a positive difference in your life?
